At Selo, as a Project Engineer within Product Development, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in modularizing and standardizing our product lines. You ensure that we can engineer smarter, faster, and more consistently, without compromising on quality or customer requirements. This is not a role where you only execute customer projects. This is a role where you lay the foundation for all future projects.

What will you do as a Project Engineer?
As a Project Engineer within Product Development, you will work on developing and improving our machines at the platform level. You think about how designs can become smarter, more consistent, and future-proof—both today and five years from now. You do not do this alone behind your screen, but rather in close collaboration with the entire organization.
In this role, you will join a close-knit and motivated team of about 8 colleagues with a clear ambition: to prepare Selo for the future through smart, scalable designs. This means that you will have a direct influence on what our future product lines will look like and that your work will not disappear into a project, but will be used organization-wide and continuously improved.
You combine technical depth with structure and overview, are given plenty of room to organize your work independently, but work within clear frameworks. At the same time, you are in constant contact with various disciplines such as Engineering, Sales, E&A, the Workshop, and Service to gather input and ensure designs align with real-world practice.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Developing modular designs and platform structures
- Defining and improving interfaces between modules
- Translating input from Sales, Engineering, Service, and Production into smart technical solutions
- Standardizing components and working methods within our machines
- Continuously improving existing designs based on feedback from the organization
- Working with and optimizing systems such as PLM (e.g. PRO.FILE)
- So you aren't just designing behind your screen, but you are in constant dialogue with the organization to ensure that what you come up with actually works in practice.

Your salary depends on your knowledge and experience.
ABOUT YOU
You are someone who looks beyond a single design. You see patterns, think in systems, and get energy from creating structure.
Additionally:
- You possess a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- You have experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Project Engineer
- You have an affinity for modular design, standardization, or platform thinking (or the motivation to develop yourself in these areas)
- You bring experience with SolidWorks and preferably a PLM system
- You are a strong communicator and do you know how to get different departments on board with your ideas
- You switch easily between technology and organization
