WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A Process Engineer?
As a Process Engineer at Selo, you are responsible for the detailed development of projects, including the selection of components, dimensioning, calculations, and the description of production processes and cleaning procedures. In doing so, you ensure the hygiene, quality, and safety of both the installations and the products they produce. You will also gain expertise in making emulsions and working with high-viscosity products.
You will be closely involved in process design, process descriptions, process calculations, and process safety, always striving to deliver installations that meet the highest quality standards, while keeping budgetary considerations in mind.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support during the sales process by contributing to detailed quotations and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to engineering.
- Lead detailed project development, including drafting P&IDs, selecting components, dimensioning, and writing process descriptions.
- Ensure efficient and safe production lines, adhering to the highest hygiene and quality standards
- Actively participate in the commissioning of systems (both software and mechanical), ensuring optimal product quality and efficiency.
- Continuously learn from project experiences and share insights within the organization to improve quality and cost-effectiveness

YOUR PROFILE
You work independently and, when necessary, foster collaboration across different disciplines within the organization. You have a natural drive to stay up to date with the necessary competencies, knowledge, skills, and experience to perform your role as effectively and efficiently as possible, contributing to the team’s success.
To excel in this role, you bring the following qualifications:
- HBO or university-level education in a relevant technical field, such as Chemical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering.
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience (intermediate/senior level).
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
- A true passion for technology, paired with high energy and focus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, due to our international customer base and colleagues.
