WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A PROJECT ENGINEER
As a Project Engineer at Selo, you are the linchpin of the team. You take technical ownership of the design process, maintain close contact with suppliers, and support colleagues in the workshop during the assembly of complex process installations. From start to finish, you plan, organize, and coordinate technical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. You act as the key link between customers, management, technical teams, and suppliers, facilitating smooth collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
In addition, you proactively identify and manage potential project risks, implementing measures to mitigate them effectively. In short, you ensure the flawless execution of technical projects that meet the expectations of all stakeholders.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You act as the right hand of the Project Manager, overseeing both technical and organizational aspects of the project
- You serve as the technical link between the customer, project team, and suppliers.
- You translate customer specifications and process descriptions into accurate 3D designs.
- You design modules and skids with attention to transport, installation, and maintenance requirements.
- You develop practical, cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or functionality.
- You are hands-on, proactive, and driven to continuously improve processes and professionalism
- You identify and manage project risks and implement effective measures to mitigate them.

ABOUT YOU
You are technically skilled, accurate in your work, and take a proactive approach. You thrive in multidisciplinary teams and have a keen eye for both innovation and quality.
To be successful in this role, you have the following qualifications and experience:
- A higher professional (HBO) or university-level background, acquired through education or relevant work experience — preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar technical role
- Proficiency in 3D design software, such as SolidWorks.
- Experience with PLM and ERP systems is a plus.
- A true passion for technology, with high energy and focus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, due to our international customers and colleagues.
