Technical buyer

For our Supply Chain department we are looking for a technical buyer. Pragmatic, analytical, critical and socially skilled!
WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A TECHNICAL BUYER
In the position of Technical Purchaser, you will be responsible for purchasing parts of our installations that we build for the food and pet food industry. You work on a project basis, and in close cooperation with the engineering, service, assembly and sales departments. You maintain contact with suppliers, are responsible for placing orders, and monitor delivery times. In addition, you oversee compliance with framework contracts, take a critical look at current suppliers and potential suppliers, analyze delivery conditions, and negotiate whenever possible!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ordering standard parts or materials from established suppliers. Not standard? Then the technical specification is provided by work preparation/engineering.
- Periodic meetings with project teams regarding shortfalls or progress of projects
- Unsatisfactory products: complaints, new order, return shipping
- Organizing post-processing of products (possibly outsourcing)
- Reduce procurement costs by looking at order costs, series, or transportation costs
- Manage inventory of standard items, and monitor assortment of items in consultation with engineering/data management
- Sometimes organizing transportation. Also for non-regular shipments (urgent shipments or calamities)
- Ensure correct price and delivery time of product in the ERP system.
- Update purchase price list, ensuring that the correct supplier is listed as preferred supplier.
- Figuring out and solving billing problems
- Responsible for supplier reliability KPIs and their interpretation.
- Lead improvement projects within own package.

Your profile
- HBO working and thinking level
- Experience in purchasing various product groups. If you have some affinity for stainless steel and technical parts, that's a plus!
- You are assertive, collegial, and enjoy working in a team
- Experience with ERP system. We use Knight IQ.
